By prioritising slow, manual processes and a commitment to the artisan’s hand, the work merges sculptural form with the tactile authenticity of carefully sourced materials. Each garment is designed as a timeless relic meant to be worn and lived in.
Butoh
Performance by Vivienne Causemann '23
Developed for the festival "Are you afraid of the dead?" at Thurn & Taxis Park, this project emerged from an intensive dialogue with the language of Butoh.
Set amidst Roman cemetery ruins, the work of actress Vivienne Causemann explored the symbiotic threshold between life and death.
The costume was engineered as a structural extension of the body’s physical expression, capturing the visceral state of the performance long after the stage is cleared.

BLUSH

Developed for the Artist at Resort Residency at Tanzhotel Vienna, this project serves as a conceptual exploration of the tension between the desire to be seen and the vulnerabilities that follow.
The piece, by Hannah Zauner and Caterina Vögel, examines the experience of shame through dance, music, and text. With a raw, punk aesthetic, the costumes were designed as autonomous, structural forms that mediate between the body and the stage space.
